Corona Virus Unmasks Capitalism
with
Dr. Gerald Horne, activist, Prof. of History and African-American studies at the University of Houston and one of the most prolific radical historians writing today

From official disregard and denial to mismanaged responses, each day the COVID-19 crisis brings into ever sharpening clarity the hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of the ruling class and our system of plantation capitalism. Claims of American exceptionalism and greatness are revealed to be a crumbling mask for the systemic rot that pervades. We asked Dr. Gerald Horne, activist, Prof. of History and African-American studies at the University of Houston and one of the most prolific radical historians writing today to talk about how the Corona Virus unmasks capitalism and to detail the enormous disparities experienced in every area of life by people of African descent, Brown people and Native Americans that is causing them to lose their health and their lives in overwhelming numbers during this pandemic.
