Brian Moyer, director of Rural Vermont, explains how the organization is following up on their legislative successes by making sure the laws about raw milk, on-farm slaughter, and other aspects of farming are helping family farmers.

City planner and designer Darrin Nordahl says cities and towns should encourage people to grow food in urban areas and even pay their staff to grow food on public land. Nordahl’s new book is Public Produce: The New Urban Agriculture.
