Episode 18: The Rhyme Inspector
We didn't plan to have a guest this week on Unseen Legion Radio. But DJ EARL-E and BIN GRIM ended up talking with him at the Beat Swap Meet on Sunday and he agreed to come thru. And we're not dumb enough to turn down a chance to chop it up with one of the most humble, talented, hard working and slept-on artists of all time. So this week the legendary Rhyme Inspector PERCEE P joined us on the air. Highlights include firsthand stories of the legendary Patterson Projects park jams from the mid '70's, the real lowdown on how the classic Percee P vs. Lord Finesse battle came about, a discussion of Percee's unheralded impact on lyricism, a dope live Percee P acapella freestyle and so much more.
Of course Michael Jackson continued his gripping alien story, DJ Earl-E dug up plenty of old school hip-hop to spice up the mix and The Rhyme Inspector was in heavy rotation with songs from the 80's, and every decade since.
