Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.

The BBC's radio play competition is open again.
Produced for Oct. 7, 2015, but can run a few days after.
Matthew Lasar at Radio Survivor reports that BBC World Service is accepting scripts for its 25th international radio play competition. “Anyone over 18, living outside the UK – whether you’re a new or established writer” can send a 53-minute-long radio script that includes no more than six central characters, plus a synopsis no longer than 400 words. Scripts compete for an English as a first language prize, English as a second language prize, and the Georgi Markov prize for scripts that show “outstanding potential.” The BBC is the most widely distributed audio platform on Earth, so this is a chance to reach a truly global audience, with a January 31, 2016 deadline.
