ICE Training Officers in Military-Grade Weapons, Chemical Agents with Ken Klippenstein, renowned American national security reporter
Sounds like they are getting ready for a war, a retired Immigration, Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency agent, Rob Uribe lvarez, told national security reporter Ken Klippenstein, on why ICE officers are being trained to use weapons that have been heretofore exclusively the province of the U.S. military. This seems to fit hand-in-glove with reports that ICE had retained a former CIA interrogator to train agents in handling terrorist suspects. Klippenstein in a Building Bridges exclusive reports on how ICE is quietly training its deportation officers in the use of weapons more familiar to the U.S. military than to domestic law enforcement, federal records show. The agency's Enforcement and Removal Officers are being trained in the use of M4 assault rifles, chemical agents, stun grenades, and flash bangs, according to federal procurement records. The M4 assault rifle is used extensively by the armed forces and has been the primary service weapon for the U.S. Marine Corps.
