Occupy Buffalo, Occupy Yourself! w/Buffy, the corporate vampire slayer, Meria Cairns, Steve Norris, Mr. Jay, Jason, Eldridge, &other members of Buffalo, NY's occupy movement
http://www.DailyMotion.com/FeedingMosquitoes
Buffy Lo, corporate vampire slayer based in Buffalo, NY, discusses the Occupy/99% movement in WNY and everywhere else. Guests might include Steve Norris, Meria Cairns, Mr. Jay, and...maybe you! Find us at www.TalkShoe.com/tc/114328. Call us and express your opinions! We're usually on the air Sunday evenings. Join us for lively political discussion pertaining to a movement for change in favor of civil liberties, democracy, and basic human rights for the poor and middle class, as well as the wealthy. We believe that poor people should have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness--and not just in the U.S.--but everywhere in the world. What do you think? Though we're based in WNY, this is a global movement. Remember, you don't need to find an Occupy in your city. Occupy yourself! Get some courage and start standing up for what you believe in. Call, write or make an appointment in person with your local politicians. Your opinions are just as valid as anyone else's. Inform your friends and neighbors of facts you're aware of pertaining to current events and politics. Think for yourself. Don't just trust everything you hear. Research the facts for yourself and consider the qualifications of the person who gives you the facts and what he/she might gain by convincing you of something. Think for yourself. Turn off the TV and your cell phone and spend some time each day just thinking and asking questions about the world. We need to be the change we seek in the world, so let's start with ourselves. When are we greedy? When are we kind and giving? When are we fair and just? When do we give to those less fortunate? If each of us gathers the courage, time and energy to work for it, we can create change in this highly dysfunctional world. Let's do it!
