On November 12, 2019, Umass Amherst held its second blockbuster pro-Palestinian conference of the year taking on the Zionists lobbyâs attempt to censor speech on American campuses. Last week we heard UMass Professor Sut Jhally, organizer of the event, followed by Linda Sarsour, moderator, and Omar Barghouty, co-founder of the BDS campaign. A capacity crowd was present, despite condemnation by university officials and right-wing pro-Israel pressure groups. The panel addressed mounting efforts by U.S. political leaders, right-wing lobbying groups, and college and university administrators to silence pro-Palestinian speech on American campuses and to criminalize support for BDS.
This is the 2nd part, taking on the Zionist lobbyâs attempt to censor speech on American campuses. This week we hear Tim Wise, Cornel West, and Dimi Khalidi, all introduced by Linda Sarsour.
