Is now a teachable moment for economists? with William Spriggs, Ph.D. Professor in the Department of Economics, Howard University & Chief Economist to the AFL-CIO
Professor William Spriggs challenges his fellow economists, in reaction to the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and slams what he sees as attempts to deny racial discrimination. Dr. Spriggs argues that economists should stop looking for a reason other than racism " some omitted variable " to account for why African Americans are falling further behind in the economy.
