Called RAAM, it is the worlds toughest bike race, far more challenging than the Tour de France. Just qualifying for it, much less finishing it, is a challenge of unspeakable proportion. Nor is Maria doing this for fame or for the bike company (Cruzbike) she owns with her husband and a partner.
