On a special week when we focus on honouring fallen comrades in past wars, and in an effort to learn so that the mistakes of the past are not repeated in the future, this edition of the global research news hour takes a determined decision to remember war in all its horror including the lies concealing the true goals on the part of the victors. In our first hour, we are joined by veteran turned peace activist Brian Willson about what he has learned and what he has experienced. And in our second half hour we will hear about Yves Englerâs latest book which follows the history of Canadaâs fighting force and how the myths of heroism and valour frequently donât match the reality.
