For many years the AFL-CIO has worked closely with the National Endowment for Democracy to undermine governments and labor movements around the world that resisted U.S hegemony. How and why has been kept secret. But now, as professor Scipe explains on The Taylor Report, a growing number of union members are condemning this collaboration and demanding change. Labor Education Project on AFL-CIO International Operations/LEPAIO(aflcio-int.education) has a major role in defining the issues and seeking answers. The AFL-CIO meets in convention June 12 in Philadelphia. LEPAIO will present a forum in that city June 11 laying out the case for an independent foreign policy for labor.
