Mahmood Ahmadinejad recently won the hotly contested presidential race beating the front-running and moderate conservative cleric Rafsanjani for the post. Ahmadinejad is the former mayor of Tehran and campaigned on a social justice platform promising an end to corruption in government and social equality.
