Professor Simona Sharoni will be speaking in Montreal, at Concordia University, next Tuesday November the 29th. Her lecture will be on 'The Challenge of Solidarity: the Struggle for Peace and Justice in Palestine/Israel'. Professor Sharoni is an Israeli feminist, a scholar and a political activist. She has published widely on the gender dynamics in Palestine/Israel as well as militarization and masculinity. Interview by Linda and Vivian Tabar.

Twice Removed photographs from occupied Palestine. Montreal photographer Darren Ell traveled throughout Palestine in 2002 and 2003. His photographs "portraits, threatened landscapes and haunting intimate spaces" address the impact and portent of the Israeli occupation, which despite all negotiations and agreements since 1991 has entered its 38th year. The title of the exhibition, Twice Removed, refers to a very important reality: as in 1948 and 1967, Palestinians are being removed from their homes and their land. 9-30 novembre et 1 decembre. JA de save, 320 Ste-Catherine. 10h00 - 17h00 Universite du Quebec a Montreal - Metro Berri-UQAM. Interview by Sabine Freisinger and Hanin.

We Shall Remain': A Night of Poetry and Resistance. Recorded on Nov 17th 2005. Music by Marc Tetrault and poetry bu Montreal's Raya Hamdan and Toronto's Rafeef Ziadah.
