What would a classroom look like if understanding and respecting differences in race, culture, beliefs, and opinions were at its heart? That's what Mary Cowhey's Peace Class in Northampton, MA is based on. Mary Cowhey teaches first and second graders to think critically and ask questions and in that process to expand their understanding of the world and how they can help make it a better place. And the Enchanted Circle Theater brings back THE SKINNER SERVANTS TOUR, their play about class relations in Holyoke, Massachusetts in the early 20th century. We'll hear a bit of the play and an excerpt from a discussion with Daviau and Hellweg on creating historical plays.
