The Transition Town concept seems to be spreading rapidly across the UK - almost every week a new neighbourhood is committing itself to the process of engaging the community in formulating an energy descent action plan. In the process they are imagining a world that it is cleaner, has an enhanced sense of community, is more local, where people are fitter and healthier, and there is a stronger connection to the land.
This programme features an interview with the Transition Town founder, Rob Hopkins - who set the ball rolling three years ago.
