Andy Kimbrell is the Director of the International Center for Technology Assessment, Washington, DC and author of The Human Body Shop, a book on the engineering and marketing of life.

He is part of a growing movement that questions and opposes current practices of genetic engineering, demanding a moratorium on transgenic experiments and changes to the permanent genetic code of all creatures.
