Thursday february 8th, with no government response to the hunger strike at the Kingston Immigration Holding Centre - more aptly known as Guatanamo Bay North - supporters demanded a response to this now near-death situation by crashing a press conference that featured Gary Lunn, Minister of Natural Resources at the Palais des Congres, part of PaperWeek International 2007.

Protesters poured chocolate sauce over the Charter of Rights and Freedom and the UN Convention Against Torture. The protester's action symbolized the audacious ambivalence of this urgent situation by Stephen Harper and Stockwell Day, who continue to ignore simple pleas for negotiation.
