Notes from Thomas Berry concerning the Universe Story
93 yr old Thomas Berry has spent his life in the Passionist order of the Catholic Church, an order dedicated to scholarly research and education. During his long life hes witnessed most of the technological changes that occurred during the 20th century and their affects on our living planet. He has been a world traveler, cultural historian, though now prefers to be known as an Earth scholar or cosmologist. Among advocates of deep ecology and ecospirituality he is famous for proposing that a deep understanding of the history and functioning of the evolving universe is a necessary inspiration and guide for our own effective functioning as individuals and as a species.
