Abdelkader Belaouni is a 41-year-old blind Algerian refugee living in sanctuary at St. Gabriel's Church in Pointe Saint-Charles. Kader's appeals for status and citizenship in Canada have been overlooked and three years later he's still fighting to remain. The interview happened inside Kader's room at St. Gabriel's in Montreal.
