The Harper government has put maternal health on the agenda for the G8 and G20 summits. Officially omitted from the program for discussion were abortion funding in development aid and climate change. Kasari Govender is the Legal Director of the West Coast Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF). She walks me through the complicated international human rights law surrounding G8/G20 policy.
