March 15 2002 is the sixth year an international day of protest and solidarity was held against police brutality. This year included actions in countries around the world (Switzerland, Russia, France, Belgium, Austria, Argentina, New Zealand, & the US) that targeted intimidation of immigrants and increasing militarization (especially on the local level - which some have dubbed Copatalism).
The International Day Against Police Brutality (IDAPB) first began in 1997 as an initiative of the Black Flag collective in Switzerland along with the help of COBP (French acronym for Collective Opposed to Police Brutality) of Montreal.
