This is Behind Bars; Behind the Mic, a special production for the 25th annual Prisoners Justice Day. It is a co-production between CJSF 90.1 FM in Burnaby, BC, and Letters For The Inside- an SFU student group doing research for inmates.
First: Asia Czaspka from Justice For Girls about the experiences of female youth in custody. In conversation with Mandavni Dhami.
Second: Anthony, a former corrections officer, reflects on his experiences and the relationships among prison guards and between them and inmates. In conversation with Peter Driftmier.
Third: voices and music from the Fraser Valley Institution in Abbotsford, BC, has a women's choir. As documented by Leah Abramson.
