Host Shannon interviews 2010 Toronto Mayor hopeful Vijay Sarma. Topics discussed include the effects of globalization on the City and People of Toronto and how to deal with them; why the elections have been boring so far; the value of ideas that independent candidates bring up; the use of "fear" to force people to choose the "left" or "right" candidate without working together to look at both; and the platform for a safer, happier, healthier and more prosperous Toronto. The Toronto Star
English: Who else is on the ballot?
In all, 39 men and women are now vying to be mayor of Canadaâs largest city.
Former Mayors of Toronto John Sewell, Art Eggleton, Barbara Hall and David Crombie discussed the 2010 Toronto elections and how the most promoted Mayor candidates have been campaigning o far.
Apparently, former Mayors of Toronto think they haven't been saying much at all.
Just like most people in our city, so we can take comfort in esteemed company.
Can we ask our candidates for Mayor of Toronto to do better for us than this?
.
The campaign's biggest loser so far? Toronto itself

Hi, my name is Vijay Sarma, my number is 647-857-5755, and I'd like to be your next Mayor of Toronto, or at least share good ideas with us like any lifelong resident can. I hope people support me to encourage others to run for office and show that we want the truth from our City Hall. We're getting sicker and broker. So: let's get it.
G20 Martial Law must never be allowed to happen again. We know our cops didn't act like that before, or since, but we know what they can be ordered to do. We need a mayor who protects the City with public support and looks into how to stop this trend.
Toronto must stop big corporations from poisoning us. They aren't stopping and aren't being stopped. City Hall should test everything we suspect just like the media does and find solutions before we lose our minds. This affects us all and is too important to ignore.
Government "waste" is really "theft" by crooks who steal our tax-money. We need to stop that and cut things like spending $450 million a year on fluoride for our water-supply because it's bad for us. See: FluorideAlert.org. Then do a full audit of the City budget.
People can keep in touch with our Mayor, Councillors and City employees to help resist the daily influence of corporate lobbyists. Men can handle "heavy stuff" more on behalf of women, children and the elderly. We can all enjoy a safer and happier Toronto! :-)
