Interview
Dr. Samuel Epstein, Founder of the Cancer Prevention Coalition

Feb. 15, 2011, 1:15 p.m.
Dr. Samuel Epstein has written many books on the subject of avoidable causes of cancer. He founded the Cancer Prevention Coalition because of a great personal commitment to reducing cancer incidence via advocacy and educational endeavors empowered by existing scientific knowledge on the subject of cancer causation. This interview starts with a long list of chemical carcinogens and carcinogenic agents, including nuclear radiation and x-rays, which are associated with breast cancer causation. Dr. Epstein names these many cancer causing entities that exist in our environment and goes on to state that breast cancer incidence is rising in the United States.

Over the course of the past several decades Dr. Epstein has filed numerous citizen petitions calling for actions by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which would lead to reduced exposure of the American public to carcinogenic chemicals and agents. Dr. Epstein has encountered a criminal lack of responsiveness to these petitions. He states that the FDA is composed of criminals who must be imprisoned as a starting point for correcting the flaws that render FDA incapable of acting for the protection of the public health when corporate interests oppose such action.

Cancer Action NY has sought to move FDA with a citizen petition that calls for the establishment of a regulation that would prohibit the feeding of waste animal fat to food animals. FDA has failed to take action on this petition since January 2004. The Cancer Prevention Coalition and Cancer Action NY are now allies in seeking congressional hearings that will bring the FDA criminals to justice.
