"Getting Past Capitalism" is a new book by philosopher/educator Cynthia Kaufman. Her approach is to challenge the Hegelian and Leninist view that the State and Capitalism are on a teleological path. Instead, she argues that social projects have different and sometimes greater impacts than political ones. Consequently, revolution should take the shape of reform, in a subtle synthesis.
