Philosopher Cynthia Kaufman describes Capitalism as a fungus in the broad, cultural tapestry that requires agitation and reweaving of the threads.
Cynthia Kaufman, author Ellen Schwartz, Marxist School President Michael Monasky, audio, Marxist School Secretary Sol Collective, Sacramento
"Getting Past Capitalism" is a new book by philosopher/educator Cynthia Kaufman. Her approach is to challenge the Hegelian and Leninist view that the State and Capitalism are on a teleological path. Instead, she argues that social projects have different and sometimes greater impacts than political ones. Consequently, revolution should take the shape of reform, in a subtle synthesis.
