There are 27 million slaves in the world today. And according to our guest, that number is conservative. These people, men/women, boys/girls are trafficked illegally for sex and labor. Worse yet is it that Milwaukee is known as the âpimp capitalâ of the United States. To help explain this, weâve invited Morgan Young, an immigration and poverty attorney based in Madison. Sheâs also with the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She spoke on human trafficking in the US, and in Wisconsin, in particular, as part of the League of Women Voters of Dane Countyâs issues forum on March 4, 2015, in Madison.
