Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.

First, the headlines: NOAA tests new voice of weather radio; Live365 streaming service closes; European courts may be striking down mass surveillance; Democratic candidates talk encryption; NPR and NAB argue for FM chip in phones because national security. Then, a little backwards "Let's Dance" from David Bowie, and then the Charles Foster Kane political speech from the movie "Citizen Kane" is remixed, with "Donald J. Trump" dubbed in for Kane. And then, to celebrate the annual Jan. 17 birthday of "art," we hear The Beatles' and others birthday songs backwards. Plus a new song from Bob Mould, "Voices in My Head."
Produced for the week of Jan. 23-30, 2016.
