Script/Transcript for program: Is CanWest Global silencing debate?

CanWest Global editorial policies have come under fire in the past few months. CanWest owns the Southam chain of newspapers, which is run by Winnipeg-based owners Israel "Izzy" Asper and his son Leonard. Southam owns 60% of all Canadian Newspapers. The Aspers are insisting on a national editorial for all their newspapers -- written by editors in their head office. Columns and articles with an anti-Israel slant were also pulled by CanWest. One columnist at the CanWest owned Halifax Daily Newws quit his job. This is Stephen Kimber's earlier today.
