Amory Starr is an activist, sociologist, and documentary filmmaker. Her first book was Naming the Enemy: Anti-Corporate Movements Confront Globalization (Zed Books, 2000) the first systematic documentation of the emergence of the alterglobalization movement, which she actually wrote before Seattle. Her second book, Global Revolt, also on Zed Books, is a beginner's guidebook to the movement.
