Christine Hemmingway, a former prisoner of Alouette Correctional Centre for Women, talks about how BC Corrections' decision to cancel the mother and baby program at the prison will have a detrimental impact on the women serving time and the babies they leave behind.
The mother and baby program was cancelled in April 2008. Alouette Correctional Centre for Women is a provincial jail located in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
