Paul Winchester, M.D., an Indianapolis neonatologist, has practiced medicine for thirty years. Over the course of this time he has seen an alarming increase in birth defects, premature births and failed pregnancies.

Dr. Winchester attributes this epidemic to in utero exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals and the increased susceptibility to disease that is imposed by such exposure. State of knowledge science provides a sound basis for concluding that children are now born to develop cancer, diabetes, obesity, depression, birth defects, and Alzheimer's disease later in life due to this pollution problem.

We discuss how to change this awful situation. We agree that education of the masses is critical to creating the widespread public outcry that will force our elected representatives to take up the work of carefully controlling the use of chemicals in our country.
