This episode: can men and women rebel against the self-destructive corporate-rebellion sold to relate better? What is "power" anyway? How can you show you have it to increase it? Why is new global internet regulation so focused on "content" with open censorship of films like "The Obama Deception" in the Infowar? How much longer will the big banks casino-economy let us have it? Or anything else? How do we fight back fast? After working this long for the new world order... do we deserve a raise?

Prime suspect in G20 damage turns herself in
Lesley Ciarula Taylor | Toronto Star | July 21, 2010
A 21-year-old Guelph woman whose photograph was added by Toronto police to the new G20 most-wanted list is in police custody after turning herself in Wednesday afternoon. Kelly Pflug-Back, a self-described grassroots anti-poverty activist, was one of several new suspects identified by police in connection with their investigation into âthousands of dollars in damageâ during demonstrations on downtown streets while world leaders met behind fences and barricades at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
G-20 summit: '$1 billion boondoggle'?: Security bill for it and companion G-8 event leaves Canadians in a huff

VIDEO: WHO GAVE THE G-20 COMMANDER HIS COMMANDS?
Paul Jay: Was the prime minister the hidden hand behind the G-20 fiasco in Toronto?
"So we get back to the $1 billion security budgetâokay, to be exact, according to the parliamentary budgeting officer, it was actually $929,986,110. If the Toronto police spent $122 million (and that's what they say, and they say it included their own men and all the city police who traveled from across Canada, and their airfare, hotels, and overtime) and the OPP bill for the G-8 in Huntsville was around $35 million, how much of the remaining $840 million or so was actually for the G-8/G-20 weekend?
*** The Mounties received the lion's share, at least $500 million. ***
Given how much more this is than the cost of the thousands of men paid out of Toronto's much smaller budget, it's hard to fathom that this was mostly manpower costs. Kevin Page, the parliamentary budget officer, in a report roughly breaking down the costs says this: "⦠it is still unclear how the RCMP will spend its sizable share of incremental costs". So where did the money go? One is forced to wonder if there's a hidden agenda of the G-20 weekend. Are they preparing for the kind of social unrest that might develop in the future if Canada's serious about meeting it's G-20 pledge of halving its deficit by 2013, at a time when the world seems heading back into recession? Do our security forces look at the rising tide of strikes and protests in Europe and decide they'd better get ready here?"
Homeowners see red over taxes: Slow-moving bureaucracy creates hefty retroactive property tax bills that must be paid quickly
Raveena Aulakh | Toronto Star | July 21, 2010
Three letters from the city can never be good but Peter Labancz wasnât worried â he was expecting them. The three letters were property tax arrears for the years 2008, 2009 and 2010, adding up to $2,506.41 â no surprise there. What shocked Labancz was that he had to pay the lump sum within a very narrow time frame: two installments in September and October. âItâs what I feared all along . . . that we would have to pay all our back (property) taxes at the same time,â said Labancz, 33, a teacher at Upper Canada College. âItâs so unfair.â Labancz said he isnât trying to avoid paying his taxes; heâs happy, willing, to do his bit.
The Bank of Canada is the nation's central bank. We are not a commercial bank and do not offer banking services to the public. Rather, we have responsibilities for Canada's monetary policy, bank notes, financial system, funds management. Our principal role, as defined in the Bank of Canada Act, is "to promote the economic and financial welfare of Canada."

Economics for Boomers
Paul Hellyer, fmr. Deputy PM and Minister of Defence, founder of the Canadian Action Party | The Committee on Monetary and Economic Reform
It takes a certain amount of chutzpah to tell a whole generation of boomers that they have been mis-educated but if you have studied economics under a mainline professor any time since the mid-1970s the odds are 20 to 1 that you have been. You have probably been taught that Keynesianism was bad and Friedmanism is good and that as a result of the switch from one to the other we now live in an age of enlightenment. To believe this, of course, is to ignore the data. Since the Bank of Canada adopted monetarism and the ideas of Milton Friedman in 1974, in concert with other central banks, Canada's economic performance, along with that of most of the world, has been very bad.

Interest on public debt costs $170-million a day
Richard Priestman, Committee on Monetary and Economic Reform | Canadian Action Party | March 7, 2010
Canadians paid $170-million per day in 2008/2009 in unnecessary interest on federal, provincial and municipal debt. The cost for 2009/10 and subsequent years will likely be higher. These costs are reflected in taxes, fees, cut-backs in public services such as education and medicare and deterioration of infrastructure such as roads, sewers, water lines and affordable housing. If our government had been using its own Bank, the Bank of Canada, as it should have for the past 35 years, we would not be in this situation. From 1867 to 1974, the accumulated federal debt amounted to $18-billion ... In 1974 the government, which had been borrowing from its own bank since 1938 at near zero interest, decided to borrow less from there and more from the private sector at market rates of interest. The result was a huge increase in federal debt from $18-billion to $588-billion in 1997, with a total debt for all levels of government of over $900-billion.
Obama Joins UN Effort to Dictate Acceptable Behavior on the Internet
Kurt Nimmo | Infowars.com | July 21, 2010
The United States â along with the UK, China and Russia â have agreed to work together under the globalist umbrella of the United Nations to determine ânorms of accepted behavior in cyberspace,â according to Computer Weekly. France, Germany, Estonia, Belarus, Brazil, India, Israel, Italy, Qatar, South Korea, and South Africa are also involved in the effort. ... Obama partisans â including members of the FCC â characterize conservative talk radio as hate speech and demand it be shut down. Obamaâs regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein, has argued that the government ban âconspiracy theorizingâ and infiltrate âextremists who supply conspiracy theoriesâ to disrupt the efforts of the âextremistsâ to propagate their theories over the internet. The red herring of cybersecurity is now being exploited by the global elite in a cynical effort to tame and fully corporatize the internet and shut down the alternative media that has eclipsed the old dinosaur dead tree and televised corporate media. The recent agreement at the United Nations signifies that the globalists are determined to take efforts to control and censor the internet to the next level.
The Cultural Cold War: The CIA and the World of Arts and Letters: Intelligence in Recent Public Literature
Frances Stonor Saunders. New York: The New Press, 2000. 509 pages.
Reviewed by Thomas M. Troy, Jr.
If The Cultural Cold War had been published in the 1960s or 1970s, it most likely would have caused a sensation and been a best seller. It would have provoked anguished editorials in major Western newspapers and a barrage of "we-told-you-so" items in the communist-controlled media. Published at the turn of the century, however, the book is something of a curiosity.1 It contains a long cry of moral outrage over the fact that the CIA committed "vast resources to a secret program of cultural propaganda in western Europe."2 At the same time, the author, an independent filmmaker and novelist, has produced a well-written account of a basically unfamiliar story with a cast of many larger-than-life characters who played roles in the Cold War.
1950-today: Corporate and state intervention in the arts
Submitted by Steven. on Sep 11 2006
A look at involvement of governments and corporations attempting to push their interests in the world of art and culture since the middle of the last century.
The Cultural Cold War: State and corporate funding of the arts is well known as a way of supporting culture which reinforces the status of the political and corporate elite. In the US and UK, opera, symphony orchestras, the ballet, museums, art galleries, plus the infrastructure that supports them, all get significant funding from both sources. Usually targeted towards an upper or upper-middle class audience and serving both their taste and social interests. What is less well-known is the systematic state subsidy of corporate sponsorship and philanthropy, which has been going on in some form or another since the 1950s.
