Private attorney, Joanna Suyes, corrects the distorted views advanced by a series recently aired on National Public Radio – “Unfit for Work: The Startling Rise of Disability in America” – which painted a misleading and inaccurate picture of the Social Security disability programs that serve as a vital lifeline for millions of Americans with severe disabilities. And during this week’s “News You Can Use,” we’ll tell you about the strict limits put on predatory lenders by Chesterfield County.
This show is supported in part by a grant from the Virginia Law Foundation. The show is the sole responsibility of Central Virginia Legal Aid Society, and gives only general legal information. The show is heard every Wednesday from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m. on WRIR – 97.3 FM – Richmond Independent Radio – www.wrir.org, and is made possible by community radio volunteers at WRIR.
