Ralph Cantor, educator. Dan Roberts audio engineer. Laytonville Healthy Start, host organizer.
On May 22, 2013 Laytonville Healthy Start hosted educator Ralph Cantor to make presentations to high school students and then lead a public forum on "Marijuana and the Adolescent Brain." This is a recording of the public forum, held in the heart of marijuana's Emerald Triangle, Mendocino County California. Ralph explained how cannabis affects the brain and consciousness, both in youth and adults, and why it is better for youth to avoid use until they are older. This is not propaganda- it is a fact filled presentation about brain function and chemistry. Whether you enjoy cannabis (or hate it), whether you have adolescents (or not), listening to this will further your understanding of why humans are drawn to the substance. And find strategies for encouraging youth to "Just say Wait!" There are 2 parts to this recording, the first is 57 minutes, the second is 63 minutes.
