Back in the USSR continues to celebrate Black History Month by paying tribute to one of the greatest African American heroes of all time, W.E.B. Du Bois. This man was a pioneer of the civil rights struggle in America, a pioneer of the Pan-African movement against colonialism, and an uncompromising supporter of socialism and international solidarity among working class people and colonized peoples worldwide against capitalism and imperialism. He was politically active for more than six decades and was still speaking and drawing crowds even in the early 1960s when he was in his nineties. The number of people that this man inspired all throughout the course of a life of courageous struggle and brave example is uncountable.
