I gave a copy of 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die to two of my children. Iâm not sure either of them ever opened it. Out of curiosity, I started reading through one a couple of weeks ago. I love music lists and often find that they make great fodder for show content. Anyway this volume is no exception. There are tons of albums in the book that I was very or completely unfamiliar with. Weâre not going to visit them all â but over a show or two or three weâll hit ones that I found especially interesting. Tonight weâll feature albums from the 50âs, 60âs, and 70âs. For the most part these are all artists that Iâve never played on my show before (over 8 years). Itâs a fun set â keep it tuned here. Not sure if weâll do Part 2 next week or later this summer.
