A professor at McGill who headed an institute to foster understanding among French and English Canadians wrote an old-school rant belittling solidarity among Quebecers and then ran into a storm of criticism from all-quarters, apologized and resigned from the institute. But Macleans Magazine, ever-eager to stereotype Quebecers, has continued to rail on.
