Blocked by the CLC from raiding a fraternal union, the Executive Board of Unifor made a rash and undemocratic decision to announce withdrawal. Oshawa local 222 passed a resolution objecting on constitutional grounds. The matter went to the Public Review Board where local 222's appeal was upheld.

But matters roll on and the Unifor Canadian Council has met to affirm breaking with the CLC and looking to raid more unions. Their Canadian flag is looking more and more like a skull and cross-bones.
