Trump's Executive Order 14288 is Trump's plan to further unleash the police on the people by eliminating Federal Consent Decrees against Police Departments following an investigation finding evidence of pattern and practice of systemic criminal activity and the abuse of citizens by the department; sharing more military resources with local police; and not pursue equity policies. Both Chicago and Minneapolis have such decrees. Minneapolis is where George Floyd was murdered; Chicago has a long history of systematic racist policing protected by the FOP and corrupt city officials that tolerated the torture of Black and Latino youth, by Detective John Burge starting in the 1970s and others to this day, for confessions, often in murder crimes. Many have been exonerated after years of incarceration, some were likely executed while the death penalty was still in effect; hundreds of others await exoneration. So rotten the legal system that out going Governor Quin abolished the death penalty.
