I’m back in the studio for Stu’s Faves #19, a radio show in memory of my brother Stuart who died in 2011. Stuart had an overwhelmingly vast collection of music and for 14 years I’ve slowly sifted through it – barely scratching the surface, but finding loads of new bands I love, as the large majority of his music was and is unfamiliar to me. Last year after the show, Scott described it as my love letter to Stuart, which is very apt. It’s fun, it’s sad, it’s bittersweet, it’s cathartic. I’d give anything to be able to talk to Stuart about all these bands I’ve discovered as he’d certainly have loved to wax poetic about them. Thanks, as always, to Scott for doing all the techy stuff in the studio so I can do this show.
