In the second hour, Julia Whitty, "Deep Blue Home: An Intimate Ecology of Our Wild Ocean" spoke about the BP oil Disaster and its impact on our fragile oceans. Whitty, in discussing the most valuable ecosystem on earth, brought to life the fragile and abundant life in the deep sea, the delicate coral reefs, marshes, variety of endangered marine life and BP's utter irresponsibility and massive cover up.

Witty spoke at length about the interconnection of our deep blue home with the 3 dimensional under water currents and the connection to the atmosphere; how this connection maintains planetary stability and makes life livable on land.
