Chinuya Achebe was famous in part for his rejection of Joseph Conrad's position in the Western canon. Achebe strongly argued that "Heart of Darkness" was a thoroughly racist work that actively dehumanized Africans to an extent beyond Conrad's contemporaries.

Aimable Mugara of RwandaHumanRights.com covers major stories centered on Rwanda. A woman running against a U.S. client remains in prison, and the UN plays favourites as Congo is invaded.
