The Cuban revolutionary government has played a major role in the struggle against apartheid South Africa and in solidarity with Angola over a period of many years. Isaac Saney author of Cuba: A Revolution in Motion, has organized a conference in Toronto for Nov 13-14, 25 Cecil St. which will feature Nicolas Hernandez Guillen, grandson of the great Afro-Cuban poet Nicolas Guillen.

The impact of a relatively small socialist country in fighting colonialism and neo-colonialism in Africa needs to be widely studied and celebrated.
