In Oman, rock from deep below the Earth has been thrust up into the desert. This rock has not been in contact with the atmosphere, and sucks up carbon dioxide. Dr. Kelemen, the Chair of environmental studies at Columbia University, explains how that could help us REDUCE levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, when humans are ready to try and save themselves.
Jill Winger went to Wyoming out of love for horses, but stayed to homestead, and raise her own food and children. Her Prairie Homestead has become a source of income - a transition that isn't easy to do when moving to the country. We talk about what works, and what doesn't.
